The name “MAVN” is derived from the word “maven,” referring to a person who has special knowledge or experience; Someone who is dazzlingly skilled in any field and who seeks to pass knowledge on to others.
While representing this discerning group of trusted experts and skilled professionals, “MAVN” also reflects an artistic break from established convention. Using only the most phonetically relevant letters, “MAVN” brings a unique flare to the essence of the word.
HISTORY
MAVN was founded with the vision of providing sophisticated women a line of luxury bags, business accessories, and travel goods, to live every aspect of their lives – to exude professionalism, organize their business, support their lifestyles, and maintain their individuality.
While studying handbag design at world renowned Central Saint Martins in London and Parsons New School for Design in New York, MAVN’s founder Eurie Kim was inspired by the interplay of high fashion and established traditions evident in every aspect of metropolitan life. Drawn to this union of beauty and power, she sought to create a lifestyle brand that would not only epitomize discrete luxury, but also balance the functional demands of every day life with the beauty and timelessness of true craftsmanship.
